OPENING `aufgetaucht`

Anxiously expected, finally arrived: WestLicht presented its recent acquisition, the Kaiserpanorama. The apparatus for showing stereo pictures, more than 100 years old and one of only a handful original Fuhrmann models in Europe, comes from the Circus Roncalli and completes now the WestLicht collection of photographica highlights.
Aficionados of technique met lovers of photo art, and history met the present: Historic stereo dias contrasted excitingly with the series of stereo photography by the contemporary Austrian artist Oliver Hangl, especially composed for the Kaiserpanorama. Shortly after Franz Morak, Austrian States Secretary for Arts and Media opened the exhibition, the crowd of visitors stormed the rotunda.
