The legendary photographer Elfie Semotan achieved international fame through her precise artistic eye. Her work has shaped the art, fashion and advertising photography of her time, transforming the prevailing aesthetic and thus influencing generations. The camera is the object that has not only accompanied Elfie Semotan over the decades, but has also helped determine her life. Using cameras from different decades, Semotan reflects on the object and its history with the writer Ferdinand Schmatz. She tells how her specific view through the lens changes the way she sees the world. The personal dialogue between author and photographer opens the new series "Things of Life".
